Our Dysphagia & IDDSI Train the Trainer course provides the knowledge, practical skills, and resources needed to deliver Dysphagia Awareness and IDDSI training within your organisation. Designed for experienced health and social care professionals, this practical course combines dysphagia and IDDSI knowledge with effective training delivery techniques. Delegates will learn to: • Explain dysphagia and swallowing difficulties • Recognise aspiration, choking, malnutrition, and dehydration risks • Apply the IDDSI Framework in practice • Explain IDDSI food and drink levels • Demonstrate IDDSI testing methods • Promote safer eating, drinking, and swallowing • Plan and deliver engaging training sessions • Assess learner understanding and provide feedback • Deliver Dysphagia and IDDSI training within their organisation Course Duration • 1 Day • Face-to-Face or Online Delegate Numbers • Minimum: 2 • Maximum: 6 Assessment • Participation in activities and discussions • Practical IDDSI exercises • Short written assessment • Minimum 10-minute micro-teach session Certification Successful delegates receive a Slanjava Learning Dysphagia & IDDSI Train the Trainer Certificate valid for 2 years. Cancellation Policy
For online courses: 24 hours notice For face-to-face courses: If you cancel the course at any time then you must inform us as soon as possible via email. You will have to pay a cancellation charge calculated in accordance with the table below (“the Cancellation Charge”) in addition to an administration fee of £50.00 (“the Administration Fee”). Cancellation Charges are necessary because cancellations cost Us money but We will only require You to pay a reasonable sum to reimburse Us for Our lost revenue. The time before the proposed date of course that we receive notification of cancellation Cancellation Charge as a percentage of the balance of the Fees Less than 2 weeks 100% Between 2 and 4 weeks 50% Longer than 4 weeks 0% Within 7 days of the notice of cancellation being given to us, we will either:- Return to you the balance of the Fees, having deducted the Administration Fee and the applicable Cancellation Charge where you had paid the Fees to us in accordance prior to giving notice to cancel the Course; or Invoice you for the balance of the Cancellation Charge and the Administration Fee where you had not paid the Fees prior to giving notice to cancel the Course. hello@slanjavalearning.co.uk
