At Slanjava Learning Ltd we take pride in delivering high quality, up to date and evidence informed First Aid training across the UK. Our courses range from Emergency First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid to specialist programmes such as Anaphylaxis Awareness and First Aid for Mental Health. Because people rely on us to provide accurate and practical skills, we continually review emerging clinical developments and new equipment.
As part of that commitment, we are pleased to share that we have received a trainer model of EURneffy, the new needle free epinephrine nasal spray for treating severe allergic reactions. This means we can now begin integrating EURneffy into our First Aid training provision so learners understand how to recognise and respond to anaphylaxis using the latest available technology.

What is EURneffy?
EURneffy is the first and only needle free nasal spray designed to deliver epinephrine during a severe allergic reaction. It is intended for individuals aged 12 and over and provides a new option alongside familiar auto injectors like EpiPen, Jext and Emerade.
The medication is administered directly into the nostril where it is rapidly absorbed, offering a simple technique that may help reduce delays when someone is experiencing a life threatening reaction.
Why is EURneffy important?
Anaphylaxis can develop quickly and is always a medical emergency. In our First Aid courses we emphasise the importance of early recognition, calm decision making and confident use of adrenaline devices. However, some responders hesitate due to needle fear or uncertainty about technique. A nasal spray may increase confidence for both trained responders and members of the public.
Potential advantages include:
No needle, which may reduce anxiety
Simple and fast administration
Portable and less intimidating for some responders
A useful option in environments where staff have mixed levels of first aid experience
How we are integrating EURneffy into Slanjava Learning Ltd’s First Aid courses
Because our learners come from a wide range of sectors including health and social care, education, hospitality, manufacturing and local authorities, it is important that training reflects real world practice. Many organisations support individuals with severe allergies, and care plans may soon include EURneffy as an alternative to traditional auto injectors.
We are now updating training across our provision, including:
Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work
Learners will explore how EURneffy compares to auto injectors, practise recognising anaphylaxis and learn what to do immediately after administration.
Paediatric First Aid
Although EURneffy is licensed for ages 12 plus, paediatric responders still need awareness, especially in secondary education, youth groups and transition settings.
Anaphylaxis Awareness and Allergy Management Sessions
Our specialist sessions will include full demonstrations using the trainer model, updates to policies and care plans, and scenario based activities that reflect current UK guidance.
Bespoke and In-house First Aid for Organisations
For settings such as supported living services, care homes, community organisations, schools and residential provisions we will tailor practical demonstrations to the people they support.
All updates will be reflected in our learner workbooks, assessments and scenario exercises.
What this means for organisations
If your organisation supports someone at risk of severe allergies, staying informed is essential. EURneffy may become part of emergency protocols and care plans, so staff must know:
How the device works
When it is prescribed
How to administer it confidently
When to call 999
What aftercare the individual needs
How this integrates with risk assessments, medication protocols and organisational policies
We expect various UK advisory bodies to update their guidance as EURneffy becomes more widely available. We will continue to monitor these changes to ensure our First Aid provision remains current, compliant and practical.
