We’re proud to announce that Slanjava Learning Ltd has officially been recognised as ResusReady by the Resuscitation Council UK. This recognition highlights our commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based resuscitation training and supporting organisations to be better prepared for cardiac arrest emergencies.

What is the ResusReady Scheme?
ResusReady is a national initiative developed by the Resuscitation Council UK to help save more lives from cardiac arrest, particularly by addressing inequalities in access to CPR training and defibrillator awareness (Resuscitation Council UK, n.d.).
It encourages businesses, organisations, and individuals to make a pledge to improve readiness by:
Increasing access to CPR training
Improving awareness and availability of defibrillators (AEDs)
Building confidence to act in an emergency
Supporting a wider culture of life-saving intervention
A key feature of the scheme is its focus on identifying gaps across the UK, helping target areas where more training and awareness are needed.
Key Features of ResusReady
The scheme is designed to be simple, inclusive, and impactful:
Free to join for organisations and individuals (Resuscitation Council UK, n.d.)
Based on a simple online pledge and self-assessment
Open to all sectors and communities across the UK
Includes an interactive heat map showing CPR training and AED awareness across the UK
Encourages continuous improvement
By signing up, organisations can demonstrate their commitment publicly and help identify where more training is needed.
Why the ResusReady Scheme Matters
Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest survival rates vary across the UK, with inequalities in access to CPR training and defibrillators (Resuscitation Council UK, 2021).
The ResusReady initiative aims to:
Reduce inequalities in life-saving skills
Increase the number of people willing and able to perform CPR
Improve access to defibrillators
Ultimately help save more lives
