Slanjava Learning Ltd Named Best Health & Social Care Training Organisation 2026 – Scotland
Updated: Oct 11
We are delighted to announce that Slanjava Learning Ltd has been named Best Health & Social Care Training Organisation 2026 – Scotland in the Corporate Vision Education and Training Awards 2026.

The recognition marks our second consecutive year receiving this award, following our success as Scotland’s Best Health & Social Care Training Organisation in 2025.
For us, receiving this recognition again is particularly meaningful. It reflects not only the continued development of Slanjava Learning, but also the commitment of the trainers, organisations, learners and partners who have supported us as we continue to grow.
Slanjava Learning is also featured in the September 2026 edition of Corporate Vision Magazine, where the publication explores our journey, our approach to learning and development, and our work supporting organisations across Scotland and the wider UK.
Corporate Vision describes Slanjava Learning as an Ayrshire-based specialist education and training provider supporting care providers, charities, community organisations and other employers through accredited and bespoke learning.
Best Health & Social Care Training Organisation 2026 – Scotland: Two Consecutive Years of Recognition
Being named Best Health & Social Care Training Organisation 2026 – Scotland is especially significant because it follows the same Corporate Vision recognition in 2025.
While awards are something we are incredibly proud of, what matters most to us is what sits behind them: the quality of the learning experience, the confidence learners take back into their workplaces, and the relationships we build with the organisations we support.
Since our previous award, Slanjava Learning has continued to invest in the quality and breadth of its training, recognised certification and network of experienced associate trainers, allowing us to support organisations across an increasingly wide geographical area.
Our purpose, however, remains unchanged:
Helping others to help others.
That principle has guided Slanjava Learning since the company was established in 2021 and continues to shape how we design training, support clients and develop new learning solutions.
Health and Social Care Training That Goes Beyond Compliance
Health and social care organisations operate in environments where staff need more than a certificate.
They need the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to apply what they have learned when it matters.
That is why our approach focuses on connecting legislation and theory with realistic workplace situations. Corporate Vision highlighted this in its 2026 feature, noting that our training is designed to go beyond certification and provide learners with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence needed to make a genuine difference in the workplace.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we aim to adapt scenarios, examples and discussion to reflect the organisation, the learners in the room and the people they support.
This is particularly important within health and social care, where effective training can directly influence safety, dignity, confidence and the quality of support people receive.
Our Heart, Head and Hands Approach
Our approach to learning can be summarised through three simple principles:
Heart – bringing passion, compassion and purpose to learning.
Head – ensuring training is underpinned by appropriate knowledge, legislation, guidance and theory.
Hands – helping learners translate their knowledge into confident and practical action.
Whether we are delivering moving and assisting, medication, first aid, fire safety, clinical skills, Train the Trainer programmes or wider health and social care training, our aim is to make learning relevant, accessible and useful.
Corporate Vision’s 2026 feature identifies health and social care as our core specialism, alongside first aid, fire safety, moving and assisting, medication, clinical skills and a growing range of Train the Trainer programmes.
From Training Provider to Learning and Development Partner
Over the last five years, Slanjava Learning has continued to evolve.
While high-quality course delivery remains at the heart of what we do, our work increasingly extends beyond individual training sessions.
We are developing a broader learning and development offer that includes Train the Trainer programmes, Competency Assessor training, practical learning resources, specialist training products and developing vocational qualifications.
As Founder and Director Lee Johnston explained in the Corporate Vision feature:
“Our story is one of developing from a training company into a wider learning and development partner.”
Corporate Vision also highlighted our ambition to combine course delivery, Train the Trainer programmes, practical resources, products and developing vocational qualifications while remaining proudly based in Ayrshire and increasingly supporting organisations across Scotland and the wider UK.
This wider approach means we can support organisations not only with a single course, but with longer-term workforce development and resources that can help reinforce learning beyond the classroom.
Training Built Around Real Organisations and Real People
One of the principles we have worked hard to maintain as Slanjava Learning has grown is a relationship-led approach.
We believe organisations should be able to engage with the people designing and delivering their training.
Listening to clients allows us to better understand their workforce, the people they support and the challenges staff experience in practice.
Corporate Vision highlighted this approach in its September 2026 feature, recognising our commitment to listening to clients, adapting delivery and improving programmes as practice, legislation and learner needs change.
It also means that two courses carrying the same title do not always need to look exactly the same.
Examples, discussions and scenarios can be tailored to the environment learners actually work within, helping them connect what happens in the training room with what happens in practice.
Health & Social Care Training Across Scotland and the UK
Based in Ayrshire, Scotland, Slanjava Learning supports organisations locally and across Scotland and the wider UK.
Our clients include health and social care providers, charities, community organisations and other employers looking for practical and engaging workforce development.
Our growing training portfolio includes areas such as:
Moving and assisting of people
Medication training and competency assessment
Fire safety and Fire Marshal/Warden training
Clinical skills training
Dysphagia and IDDSI
Positive Behaviour Support and related programmes
Competency Assessor training
Depending on the programme and client requirements, training can be provided through a combination of accredited, in-house, bespoke, face-to-face and virtual learning.
Quality, Inclusion and Responsible Business
Our continued development is not simply about delivering more training.
We also want Slanjava Learning to grow responsibly.
Corporate Vision highlighted our partnership with JUST ONE Tree, through which one tree is planted for every course booking, alongside our commitments through Mindful Employer and Disability Confident.
These initiatives form part of our wider commitment to making learning inclusive, responsible and sustainable.
As the organisation has grown, the values that have guided us — integrity, quality, compassion and collaboration — have remained central to the way we work.

Featured in Corporate Vision Magazine – September 2026
Our 2026 recognition is featured on page 11 of Corporate Vision Magazine’s September 2026 edition under the title:
Best Health & Social Care Training Organisation 2026 – Scotland
The feature tells more of the story behind the recognition, from Slanjava Learning’s beginnings in 2021 to the wider learning and development organisation we are becoming.
Corporate Vision concludes that Slanjava Learning has earned the recognition for equipping learners with the confidence, knowledge and tools they need to support others more effectively.
We would encourage clients, learners and partners to read the full feature in the September 2026 edition of Corporate Vision Magazine.
A Shared Achievement
While the award carries the Slanjava Learning name, it reflects the contribution of many people.
This recognition belongs to the trainers who bring our courses to life, the organisations that trust us to support their teams, the partners who work alongside us and, most importantly, the learners who engage with our programmes and take that learning back into their workplaces.
Every question asked during a course, every piece of feedback received and every conversation with a client helps us improve.
To everyone who has worked with, recommended or supported Slanjava Learning over the past year:
Thank you.
Receiving the same Corporate Vision recognition for a second consecutive year makes us incredibly proud, but it also gives us further motivation to continue improving.
Looking Ahead
Five years after Slanjava Learning was established, our ambitions continue to grow.
We want to keep expanding access to high-quality health and social care training, further develop our Train the Trainer and Competency Assessor programmes, introduce new vocational learning opportunities and create practical resources that support staff long after a training session has finished.
The organisation may continue to evolve, but the principle behind it remains unchanged:
Helping others to help others.
We are proud to be based in Ayrshire, proud to support organisations throughout Scotland and the UK, and incredibly proud to have been recognised for a second consecutive year as Best Health & Social Care Training Organisation 2026 – Scotland.
Thank you to everyone who continues to be part of the Slanjava Learning journey.
Our 2026 award recognition continued when Slanjava Learning was also named Health & Social Care Training Provider at the Prestige Awards 2026/27.
